Six Empties

I think it is pretty safe to say that by the end of a tube/pot/packet, you have had enough time to really try out a product and experience it's good and bad qualities.
1. Jason Jojoba Conditioner - I bought this when it was on sale in a local health food store for about £3.50. It is a natural haircare product without any nasty artificial preservatives that aims to make long hair healthy and strong. It smells great and really conditions well. Would I recommend it over everything else in the world? No, probably not, but it contains great ingredients and does the job for a brilliant price (RRP £6.99).

2. Dermapeutics Sonoma Naturals Avocado Skin Perfecting Serum - This I picked up about 6-8 months ago for about £10 in TK Maxx and it has been amazing for hydrating my skin. I apply it before moisturiser in the morning. The little pipette top is hygenic and great for economical dispensing - about 3 drops massaged into the face and neck does the trick nicely.

3. TIGI Love Peace & the Planet 'Let it Be' Leave in Conditioner - I bought this over a year ago and found it to just be wayyyy to sticky and heavy for a leave-in conditioner. After 6 months or so it turned into this horrible gloopy texture that left my hair looking greasy. Wouldn't recommend, though I love the rest of the range!

4. Oilatum - This was my 4th tube. Amazing stuff, thick and deeply penetrating for dry and dehydrated skin, and contains only natural ingredients. At about £7 a tube in Boots you just can't go wrong. This is my moisturiser of choice for both morning and night.

5. LUSH Breath of Fresh Air Toner - I was really just trying to use this stuff up because it contains parabens (not my thing anymore) so I wont be re-purchasing. This is unfortunate considering the smell of this stuff is amazing...you literally feel like you are at the seaside! I spritzed onto my face after cleansing morning and evening and patted it into the skin. If you're not bothered about parabens then definitely worth a try!

6. Simple Cleansing Wipes - Again, was trying to use up because of the parabens...but these are great at removing the bulk of make-up before proper cleansing in the evening. They are about £3 for a pack and I tend to rip each one in 2, thus making the pack last twice as long! The scent is very uninvasive and they are really gentle on the skin - great if you are sensitive and prone to irritation.

Watercolour Wonder

Harajuku Lovers Fragrance: Music

Before this, I had never tried a Harajuku lovers fragrance. I have admired the cute toy-like bottles many a time, but never taken the dive and tried one out. I received this mini 10mL 'Music' eau de toilette (from the Sunshine Cuties summer collection) as a gift and have to say that overnight it became my favourite scent to date! It is described as a sensuous floral.

Top Notes: pear, apple, freesia
Mid: Tiger orchid, jasmine, honeysuckle
Base: Cashmere woods, musk, precious woods

I am not entirely sure what cashmere or precious woods smell like on their own haha, but the base is definitely musky/woody and warm, with lighter fruity and floral scents weaved throughout. The box is deceptively large for the tiny quanity that comes inside, but the bottle just looks so adorable on my vanity! Check out the awesome site for more information and where to buy.

A Few Origins Goodies...

I have been an Origins girl for a good few years now. I believe their products to be of fantastic quality, they smell great and do what they say on the tin. I ordered a couple of my staples and thought I would share with you guys! I initially hopped onto their website to replenish my VitaZing moisturiser and Pinch Your Cheeks cheek tint stocks, but noticed a great deal on a little limited edition kit!
Right now you can order the limited edition Brightening Musts kit for just £26 (the cost of VitaZing alone!) The kit contains a full-sized 50ml VitaZing moisturiser, a 30ml Modern Friction gentle dermabrasion facial cleanser and a mini 5ml GinZing eye cream pot! Such a great deal! I adore Modern Friction, it smells light and fresh and citrusy and gently exfoliates the skin. GinZing I have yet to try, but I know it is a popular seller from Origins. Included was a sample of the popular Plantscription anti-aging serum. Excited to try!

' Pinch Your Cheeks' is my go-to cheek tint. It comes in Rasberry or Coralberry. The above photo is a swatch of coralberry. It blends out to give a gorgeous orangy-red tint to the cheeks - great on any skin tone! At £13 for only 3ml you may think it is crazy, but just to give you an idea...I have had my current one for about a year or more and use it most days! You need the tiniest amount.

Coppering

I forgot how amazing an eyeshadow Coppering (MAC) is! Plus this top is incred. YES to brights when English weather is el crappo :-).

No7 Moisture Drench Lipstick

Give me the choice between cool tones and warm tones and I will choose warm. My complexion and hair colour just suit them more, simple as that. HOWEVER, I was browsing my local Boots No7 counter recently and the Moisture Drench Lipstick in Shade 50 'Cameo' caught my eye. It is a cool-toned sheer pink with a subtle lilac/blue shimmer shot through. I think the only reason I can pull this off is because of its lack of opacity, but I just cannot stop wearing it. The photos do not do it any justice, and you can't see the shimmer, but if you have a No7 counter near you go check it out!

Purple Haze
